A DAY IN THE LIFE:
In this position, you will be Host for Gracias Madre. This is a part-time position with approx. 3 shifts per week.
Objectives for both positions include:
- Greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Answering the phone and taking to go orders
- Read, understand, and memorize the menu and it's ingredients
- Follow all steps of service, including department checklists for opening and closing duties
- Maintain cleanliness and restaurant appearance standards; including, but not limited to
bussing tables when necessary, wipe down menu’s, wipe down tables, set up / break down
tables, fold napkins, rearrange dining area when needed
Cashier Specific Objectives Include:
- Take guest orders and enter into the computer
- Organize all to go orders for efficient and timely pick up
- Accurately handle all cash and credit card transactions
Host Specific Objectives Include:
- Taking reservations and manage the wait list
- Seating guests in order of arrival, evenly distributing tables to server sections
- Keeping host station clean and organized
- Listening and responding to voicemail messages
AVAILABILITY: Must have weekend availability to be considered for this job. Hosting and/or Barista experience preferred.
COMPENSATION: $minimum wage + tips
