As Floor Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of your restaurant. You are the leader in creating a working environment that is safe, functional and transformative for customers and employees, ensuring an enjoyable and satisfying experience for guests of the restaurant.

As Floor Manager, you will manage overall operations of the Restaurant including kitchen, floor, and bar:

  • Uphold and enforce all company policies and procedures
  • Act as the conduit between our employees’ and our guests’ experiences
  • Be responsible for the experience we provide for both employees and guests
  • Work directly with your General Manager, other management team members, and employees to support efficiency and communication
  • Support the sustainable and profitable running of your restaurant
  • Communicate with Human Resources regarding any employee matters or concerns
  • Complete employee write-ups and be in communication with your General Manager and/or Human Resources regarding employee issues
  • Complete employee reviews with the help of the General Manager and fellow managers
  • Monitor and maintain food and service quality
  • Manage food waste
  • Manage the completion of the opening/closing food duties
  • Oversee and ensure the accuracy of all cash and credit card transactions on your shift
  • Respond to customer complaints
  • Oversee the training of new staff members
  • Ensure cleanliness and restaurant appearance standards
  • Ensure that employees know and follow all health codes and standards
  • Ensure that employees know and follow all safety procedures
  • Communicate any repair or maintenance issues to your General Manager
  • Enforce and support restaurant strategy
  • Promote company culture
  • Oversee the daily staff schedule, making adjustments when and where necessary
  • Ensure the compliance of all applicable labor laws
  • Follow and uphold all company policies per employment handbook
